About The Position

Reporting to the Food Division Manager, the Caretaker is responsible for cleaning and janitorial services in our Food Store in Weyburn. This role involves ensuring all areas of the facilities meet or exceed established standards, including cleaning various surfaces, maintaining restrooms, managing waste disposal, and ensuring the facility is adequately stocked with necessary inventory. The Caretaker also plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and vendors, and ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.

Requirements

Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends
Able to prioritize and organize workload, resources, and time, often with competing interests.
Able to work independently, this position will also require the applicant to demonstrate a high degree of self initiative.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing janitorial services including job task planning and organizing
Ensuring all areas of the facilities meet or exceed the standards established in the Standards of Performance Manual and Image Checklist
Cleaning all doors, floors, windows, etc. and vacuum all designated areas, as assigned.
Cleaning bathrooms, sinks, showers, mirrors, and fill hand soap, roll towel, toilet papers, sanitary bags, spray disinfectant, etc. as assigned.
Ensuring all waste and garbage bins are emptied and washed out as required.
Ensuring the facility is adequately stocked with necessary inventory and order supply needs in advance ensuring inventory is kept at reasonable levels.
Maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and vendors.
Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
