About The Position

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 177,000 apartments, and responsibility for administering a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200,000 additional tenants. The Healthy Homes Department seeks a Caretaker P to perform various plastering tasks and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Mix plastering materials properly.
• Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces (use of hawk, trowel, Darby, slicker; working of dots and screeds); apply plaster coats (scratch, brown and finish).
• Lath and plaster bases (channel iron, wire lath, etc.).
• Perform dust control and clean up.
