About The Position
Caretaker Ps appointed are encouraged to gain the knowledge required for career advancement to Plasterer. Travel to Developments within assigned neighborhood is a requirement, with the frequency determined by the Neighborhood Administrator. These positions will cover Brooklyn Neighborhood 06, which includes Marcy, Roosevelt, Sumner and Tompkins. NYCHA provides benefits that include a choice of medical coverage plans, deferred compensation plans and a defined pension benefit plan as a member of the New York City Employees’ Retirement System (NYCERS).

Responsibilities
- Mix plastering materials properly.
- Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces (use of hawk, trowel, Darby, slicker; working of dots and screeds); apply plaster coats (scratch, brown and finish).
- Lathing and plastering bases (channel iron, wire lath, etc.).
- Perform dust control and clean up.
