About The Position
This position is for a Caretaker (HA) at the NYC Housing Authority. The role involves preparing and applying plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces, lathing and plastering bases, and performing dust control and cleanup. Caretakers appointed are encouraged to gain the knowledge required for career advancement to Plasterer. This position will cover Brooklyn Neighborhood 02, which includes Breukelen, Cypress Hills, Pink and Vandalia, and requires travel to developments within the assigned neighborhood.

Responsibilities
- Mix plastering materials properly.
- Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces (use of hawk, trowel, Darby, slicker; working of dots and screeds); apply plaster coats (scratch, brown and finish).
- Lathing and plastering bases (channel iron, wire lath, etc.).
- Perform dust control and clean up.
