About The Position

As a Caregiver at REM West Virginia, you help people with developmental and other complex needs grow, learn, and live well. You build meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, support their participation in the community and favorite activities, and help them work toward developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition. The role may involve supporting people with autism and related conditions, assisting with personal hygiene, and responding to behavioral challenges in assisted living, group home, or waiver home settings. This full-time day position is listed at $14.75 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A driver's license is required. Daytime and overnight roles are available. Full-time employees receive a benefits package, and weekly or daily pay options are available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions.
Ability to cook, clean, and assist with personal care.
Ability to stay calm and problem-solve in stressful situations.
Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
