About The Position

The Caregiver provides quality personal care and psychosocial support to residents within the limits of delegation. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, housekeeping, cooking, and activities, while representing Enriched Senior Living’s standards and commitment to residents, their families, and the community. The position includes supporting person-directed care, maintaining resident records, reporting changes, and completing delegated medication administration after appropriate training.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience as a caregiver and working with individuals diagnosed with dementia.
At least 18 years of age.
Able to complete infection-control training and have no communicable diseases.
Familiarity with OSHA blood-borne pathogen standards and compliance with policies and procedures to protect staff and residents from infection.
Ability at times to lift more than 50 pounds while helping residents, using proper lifting techniques.
Ability to pass criminal background checks.
Good health.
Reliable transportation.
Compassion and commitment to excellent resident care.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, housekeeping, meals, and activities.
Develop relationships with residents and support their families.
Keep daily resident records and report changes in routine or behavior to the Executive Director/Health and Wellness Director or RCC.
Encourage resident socialization and engage in meaningful interactions.
Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings, care conferences, and in-service training.
Maintain a team focus and positive attitude with staff and families.
Administer medications to residents after training and delegation by nursing staff.
Handle resident and facility laundry.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, taking out garbage, and cleaning bathrooms.
Carry out other duties as required by the Executive Director of Management.
