About The Position

BrightStar Care of Novi is seeking a caregiver with caregiver or home health aide experience to support older adults in their homes in the Novi, Michigan area. The role includes help with personal hygiene and care, errands, mobility, and other day-to-day needs. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, with flexible scheduling and PRN options.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Caregiver or home health aide experience providing care for older adults.
• Reliable transportation.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; varied assistance is required depending on the client's mobility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• COVID-19 vaccination is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers.
• Assist clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care, and document observed changes for the RN Care Coordinator.
