About The Position

Silverado Thousand Oaks is hiring a Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role combines empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to help residents live with dignity and joy in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. The caregiver assists with daily living activities, builds relationships with residents, families, and team members, and maintains accurate care records. The position is part-time on the NOC shift on Saturdays. The anticipated pay range is $22–$25 USD. Employment offers are contingent on background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing when applicable.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort working around animals and pets.

Nice To Haves

Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
