About The Position

Fair Oaks Estates is hiring a full-time morning Caregiver at its assisted living and memory care community in Carmichael, California. The role provides direct resident care during the 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift. Caregivers help residents begin their day with comfort, dignity, and as much independence as possible. Medication responsibilities are handled by Med Techs, not caregivers. The position follows a continuous four-days-on, two-days-off rotation, with days off rotating through the week. Employees work some weekends and holidays. Schedules are available through an app, which also supports shift pickups, coworker swaps, and time-off requests. Caregivers work with the same residents regularly and report to the Resident Care Director and Resident Care Coordinators. Fair Oaks Estates provides paid initial training and annual paid continuing education. Health coverage is available to regular full-time employees beginning the first of the month after their 90-day anniversary. Employees accrue paid sick leave, usable after 90 days; regular full-time employees become eligible for paid vacation after one year of continuous employment. Starting pay is $16.90 per hour, with a range up to $17.90 per hour. Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half under California law. The community is locally owned and has 63 bedrooms. Applicants must complete fingerprint clearance, a health screening, and a TB test before their first day; these are at the applicant’s expense. Caregivers must supply their own scrubs and low-heeled, closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes. Cell phones are not permitted on the floor, and there is a mandatory monthly staff meeting.
