About The Position

Glen Park Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mandarin-speaking Caregiver to assist our residents with daily living activities while creating a supportive, healthy environment where they can thrive. As a Direct Care Staff member, you will assist elderly residents, convalescents, and individuals with disabilities in a care facility setting. You will provide hands-on support with daily living activities while promoting residents’ comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Mandarin-speaking required

  • Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Negative TB Test and Health Screening
  • Ability to work in person at Glen Park at Glendora, 452 Seller St Glendora, CA 91741

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
  • Assist residents with eating, mobility, positioning, and other activities of daily living.
  • Prepare, serve, and assist residents with meals and snacks as needed.
  • Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Participate in and support the facility’s Activities Program to promote social engagement and quality of life.
  • Communicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and management regarding resident needs and care.
  • Follow care plans and accurately document required resident care and observations.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Work collaboratively with caregivers, MedTechs, nurses, office staff, and other departments to provide quality resident care.
  • Attend required monthly and quarterly in-services and complete all required training.
  • Maintain confidentiality, respect residents’ privacy and dignity, and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow the facility’s Program Design for residents with developmental disabilities.
  • Complete specialized training as required for residents with developmental disabilities.
  • Support goals outlined in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP).
  • Maintain accurate progress notes documenting IPP objectives and accomplishments.
