About The Position

The Caregiver supports residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The role encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions. The scheduled shift is 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Requirements

• Meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
• Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude, including being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Demonstrate personal initiative and consistent work attendance.
• Communicate effectively, including careful listening, sensitivity to others' thoughts and feelings, and timely, accurate reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Present with a neat, clean appearance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourage resident independence and support resident choice while preserving resident dignity.
• Complete work with personal initiative and without constant supervision.
• Communicate carefully and sensitively, provide thoughtful responses, and report information accurately and on time to appropriate people.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Participate in designated facility in-services.
• Help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and attend work as scheduled.
