Caregiver Needed: Sun Valley (Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-3:00pm)
About The Position
24 Hour Home Care is hiring a caregiver to support clients of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in their homes. The caregiver provides compassionate, attentive assistance to help clients live safely and independently. The position is for assignments in Sun Valley, with scheduled work Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is assignment-based and may vary by client location and services required; the expected pay rate for current California assignments is $16.90–$19 per hour. The caregiver assists with personal care, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and errands or transportation. They follow each client’s care plan and provide updates as needed. The role calls for an empathetic, adaptable self-starter who can anticipate client needs and respond calmly to unexpected situations. Candidates must provide two caregiving references, valid identification documents compliant with I-9 requirements, and proof of a negative TB test. A reliable commute is preferred; eligible candidates may have the cost of a TB test covered. The company offers flexible scheduling based on availability, skill set, and client needs, along with paid orientation, training, and sick time. Requirements
- Provide contact information for two references who can attest to caregiving experience.
- Provide valid identification documents that comply with I-9 requirements.
- Provide proof of a negative TB test; the company may cover the cost for eligible candidates.
- Be able to commute to Sun Valley for the scheduled shifts.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, attentiveness, and respect for clients.
- Be adaptable and able to respond calmly and efficiently to unexpected situations.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to anticipate client needs without constant supervision.
