About The Position
Home Instead is hiring 2-3 dependable Caregivers for recurring weekday afternoon visits with an older adult in Nevada, Iowa. This is a part-time opportunity to build a relationship with one client while providing hands-on support to help them remain safely at home. The role involves one-on-one support to ensure the client stays safe, comfortable, and involved in their own care. The client can communicate their needs and participate in their care, so the ideal caregiver will assist without taking over, work at the client's pace, and remain attentive to mobility and fall safety.
Requirements
- Caregiving, healthcare, or relevant family-care experience
- Comfortable with hands-on personal care and transfers
- Dependable, patient, and confident working independently
- Treat older adults with dignity and respect
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Gait-belt transfers and mobility support with a walker
- Catheter-related personal care
- Meal preparation and hydration
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Companionship and conversation
