About The Position

Home Instead is hiring 2-3 dependable Caregivers for recurring weekday afternoon visits with an older adult in Nevada, Iowa. This is a great opportunity to build a relationship with one client while providing the hands-on support that helps him remain safely at home. The role involves one-on-one support that helps an older adult stay safe, comfortable, and involved in his own care. The client can communicate his needs and participate in his care. The right caregiver will help without taking over, move at his pace, and stay attentive to mobility and fall safety.

Requirements

• Caregiving, healthcare, or relevant family-care experience
• Comfortable with hands-on personal care and transfers
• Dependable, patient, and confident working independently
• Treat older adults with dignity and respect
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Gait-belt transfers and mobility support with a walker
• Catheter-related personal care
• Meal preparation and hydration
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and conversation
