About The Position

Clarendale of Chandler is seeking a part-time Arizona Certified Caregiver to provide personal care and support to residents in a senior living community. Care includes assistance with daily personal needs, mealtime support, completion and documentation of assigned duties, communication with residents and their families and community staff, planned activities, and timely response to call lights and emergencies. The schedule varies and requires availability to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Arizona state certification for caregiving.
• Able to obtain or currently hold CPR/First Aid certification.
• Able to obtain or currently hold a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Able to obtain or currently hold a Food Handler’s Card.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in senior living care settings with prior caregiver experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, and foot care.
• Take vital signs and check height and weight according to policy.
• Assist residents at mealtimes, including cutting food and encouraging residents to eat.
• Complete and document assigned shift duties; report uncompleted assignments to the nursing supervisor.
• Communicate with residents, families, department heads, and the Director of Resident Services as needed.
• Provide activities as planned or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.
