About The Position

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking experienced caregivers to support seniors in local communities. They focus on matching caregivers with clients based on experience, availability, skills, and location, offering flexible shift options for both additional hours and long-term opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Negative TB test
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and onboarding

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Parkinson's disease, dementia, mobility assistance, transfers, personal care, or other specialized care needs is highly valued.
• Weekend and holiday availability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Support mobility, walking, and transfers
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping
• Assist with errands and transportation when applicable
• Support daily routines and independence
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Provide safe, respectful, and dependable one-on-one care

Benefits

• Pay Rate: $16.00–$19.00/hour based on the assignment
• Training Pay: $15.00/hour
