About The Position

Valley of the Sun Homecare is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who want to stay active, connected, and engaged in their community. Enjoy flexible part-time hours while providing companionship and support to local seniors—and bring your life experience to a role where it is truly valued. The more your availability and flexibility (driving distance, amount of shift hours, etc.), the more we are better to staff you with our amazing clients. We have clients that join us every day that have needs 7 days of the week, for morning, day, evening and overnight (12 hour) shifts.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license & auto insurance
• Reliable vehicle
• CPR & First Aid certification
• Clear TB test or chest x-ray
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

• Open availability for all shift needs 7 days a week
• Flexibility in driving distance and amount of shift hours

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for seniors wherever they call home
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Offer companionship, engagement, and emotional support
• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Assist with transportation to appointments and errands
• Follow individualized care plans often focused on dementia care
