About The Position

Visiting Angels is hiring compassionate, dependable CAREgivers to provide non-medical in-home support to seniors, helping them remain safe and comfortable in their homes while maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life. The role emphasizes building meaningful relationships with clients and working with a supportive team. Paid orientation and comprehensive training are provided, including ongoing education and training in dementia and palliative care. Experienced CAREgivers may participate in a six-week mentoring program to help guide new team members.

The position offers flexible scheduling with 4-, 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Regular, ER, and Angel Visit opportunities are available, with local assignments matched near the employee’s home whenever possible. The role is part-time and on the road, serving communities in Kanawha, Putnam, and Cabell Counties in West Virginia, Scioto County in Ohio, and surrounding areas. Offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assist with errands and appointments.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Provide dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
• Help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
