About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide quality in-home care to seniors in Russell, Massachusetts, and surrounding communities. Opportunities are available for experienced caregivers and people beginning a caregiving career, including homemakers, Personal Care Assistants (PCs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Caregivers help seniors remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Depending on the assignment, duties may include personal care and daily living assistance, bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, emotional support, laundry, maintaining a safe home environment, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and reporting changes in a client's well-being. Free HHA training and certification are available to qualified applicants who do not yet have HHA or CNA certification.
Requirements
- Compassion, patience, dependability, and willingness to learn.
- Applicants may be experienced caregivers or individuals looking to begin a career in caregiving.
- HHA or CNA certification is not required for all opportunities; free HHA training and certification are available to qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and daily living activities.
- Help clients with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Do laundry and help maintain a safe home environment.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist clients with mobility.
- Report changes in a client's well-being.
