About The Position
Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to support a client in their home. This role focuses on providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities while maintaining a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required
- Experience providing incontinence care
- Experience using a Hoyer lift
- Ability to safely assist with client transfers and handle client weight requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and compassionate
- Able to follow a care plan and communicate effectively
- Comfortable caring for a non-verbal client
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing and showering
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with dressing and personal grooming
- Provide incontinence care
- Prepare simple meals
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Help maintain a safe and clean home environment
- Assist with transfers and mobility needs as outlined in the care plan
