About The Position

Griswold Home Care for East Louisville is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as full-time Caregivers. This role involves providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship, assisting clients with daily tasks to help them live as fully and independently as possible in their homes. The position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for both day and night shifts, catering to clients who may need varying levels of care, from a few hours to 24-hour support. Caregivers are responsible for tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance, bathing, feeding, and providing companionship, particularly to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. The role requires maintaining client dignity, professional conduct, and accurate shift documentation, along with routine communication with the office regarding client needs and conditions.

Requirements

Reliable transportation
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts!
Willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Help clients maintain proper personal hygiene.
Aid clients with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding.
Provide companionship to clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
Communicate routinely with the office about client condition and needs.
