Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Ability to lift or transfer up to 40 pounds by yourself, and up to 200 pounds with assistance
Ability to obtain required Pennsylvania clearances: ACT 33, ACT 34, FBI Fingerprints

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Experience as a Caregiver
Experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA)
Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Experience as a Direct Care Worker
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

Providing companionship and emotional support
Cooking meals and light housekeeping
Shopping and running errands
Assisting with home chores
Attending medical appointments
Playing games, making crafts, or watching favorite shows together
Helping individuals build social and adaptive skills
Supporting participation in community activities
Going to restaurants, movies, bowling, libraries, festivals, museums, and local events
Encouraging independence and community engagement
