About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Stark + Summit County, Ohio. We offer competitive pay with built-in raises and opportunities to earn extra through bonuses and referrals. We provide a clear path to employment, whether you are an STNA, have an HHA certificate, relevant experience, or are looking for free training. Our caregivers provide essential support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. We prioritize matching caregivers with clients based on their specified limits, ensuring a good fit for both parties. This is a W-2 position with opportunities for growth and long-term employment.

Requirements

  • Driver's license
  • Your own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM)
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • STNA license in Ohio (active or expired) for Path 1
  • HHA certificate, 30+ hours, signed by RN (unless completed online) for Path 2
  • 1+ year of experience at one company where your supervisor was an RN or LPN for Path 3
  • Willingness to help people for Path 4 (free training provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Open to working in both Stark and Summit counties for faster start and more hours.
  • Openness to client limits (pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times) can lead to a faster start.
  • Already passed an HHA test at another job (if score is 80% or higher).

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, getting dressed, and personal hygiene.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Perform light housekeeping and errands.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers.
  • Follow client care plans and agency policies.
  • Report any incidents or changes in client condition to the office promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
  • Adhere to agency policies regarding clocking in/out and call-off procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with the office via calls and texts.
  • Submit updated documents (insurance, license, training) when requested.
