About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Stark and Summit County, Ohio. This role involves assisting clients, primarily older adults, with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, and errands. The job is physical, requiring caregivers to be on their feet and assist with client mobility. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. Clients are matched to caregiver-defined limits regarding pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times. The role offers opportunities for pay raises based on performance, building client relationships, and earning through bonuses and referrals. Requirements

  • Driver's license
  • Own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM)
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • STNA license in Ohio (active or expired) for Path 1
  • HHA certificate, 30+ hours, signed by RN (unless completed online) for Path 2
  • 1+ year of experience at one company where supervisor was an RN or LPN for Path 3
  • Willingness to help people for Path 4 (free training provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nursing homes, hospitals, skilled home health agencies (Medicare-certified), or assisted living with licensed nurses on staff (for Path 3)
  • Already passed an HHA test at another job (may skip the HHA test)

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities (baths, getting dressed, meals)
  • Perform light cleaning and errands for clients
  • Provide companionship to clients
  • Assist clients with mobility
  • Follow company policies and client care plans
  • Report incidents within 24 hours
  • Answer office calls and texts quickly
  • Send updated documents when requested
  • Complete feedback forms when sent
