About The Position

Visiting Angels is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes in Maidsville, West Virginia. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship and peace of mind to clients and their families. Applicants may be experienced caregivers or new to caregiving; training, support, and resources are provided. The role offers flexible scheduling, with 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts available, and office staff available 24/7. New caregivers receive hands-on training, shadow shifts, and a six-week mentor program. Ongoing education and career development opportunities are also offered.

Requirements

Be compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting or incontinence care.
Provide mobility assistance and help with transfers.
Remind clients to take medication.
Transport clients to appointments and errands.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
