About The Position
Independent Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide companionship and daily support to a client in their home environment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
Requirements
- 18 years old or more
- Have a valid ID
- Able to pass a PA criminal background check
- Able to pass an FBI background check if you have not been a PA resident for 2 years
- TB Clearance
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transportation assistance is required)
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds, depending on client needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- 1-year hands-on caregiving experience is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living areas
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment
- Medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities (if applicable)
- Follow care plans and document services provided
- Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times
