Experienced Caregiver - Riverside, IL
About The Position
Amada Senior Care is seeking an experienced Caregiver to provide compassionate, non-medical support to seniors in their homes. The role focuses on helping clients with activities of daily living and personal care while promoting comfort, well-being, companionship, and security. Caregivers are expected to connect with clients and respect their individual care needs and preferences. The position is based in person and serves clients in Riverside and other North and Western Chicago suburbs. Full-time and part-time work is available, with flexible scheduling based on available cases. The job posting lists a pay range of $16.50–$18.00 per hour. Schedules may include four- or eight-hour shifts, day or morning shifts, on-call work, and weekdays or weekends as needed.
Requirements
- At least one year of caregiving experience or equivalent.
- Valid identification and Social Security card.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to the North/Western suburbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in caregiving techniques and ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Experience or familiarity with assisted living or senior care environments, home care systems, or related fields.

- Driver’s license.
- Background in childcare, social work, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, including accommodating special dietary needs.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with walking and exercise.
- Perform light housekeeping and personal laundry.
- Escort clients to appointments and assist with errands, shopping, and transportation to appointments.
- Maintain household records.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health status.
- Use behavior management techniques when necessary.
