About The Position
Griswold Home Care is currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers, CNAs, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Personal Care Aides (PCAs), and Companion Care Providers to serve clients in Burlington, NC and the surrounding communities. Our caregivers provide personalized, one-on-one care that allows clients to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while providing exceptional client-centered care.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of professional caregiving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospice, or group home settings.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, Parkinson's disease, and end-of-life care is highly preferred.
- Experience with personal care, transfers, mobility assistance, and Hoyer lifts is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging independence and dignity.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
- Help with safe ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and Hoyer lift assistance when applicable.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan.
- Observe and report any physical, emotional, or cognitive changes to the office.
- Complete accurate documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.
