About The Position
Companions Forever is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide non-medical home care to clients in various service areas across Connecticut. This role involves following individualized care plans, assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and supporting clients with transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands. The company has been providing home care services for over three decades, focusing on empowering clients to maintain independence in their homes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Open availability preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
