About The Position

The Male Caregiver provides compassionate, reliable, and respectful in-home care to clients who need assistance with daily activities, personal care, mobility, companionship, and maintaining a safe home environment. The caregiver works according to each client's care plan and agency policies while promoting the client's dignity, independence, and well-being.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Reliable, compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers.
Ability to work independently in a client's home.
Must pass applicable background checks and meet agency hiring requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving, home care, personal care, CNA, or related experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred or required, depending on assignment.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Provide mobility assistance, including walking, transfers, and positioning.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required.
Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and applicable regulations.
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other tasks necessary to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist clients with errands, appointments, shopping, and other approved activities.
Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the supervisor or care coordinator.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Follow infection-control, safety, emergency, and agency procedures.
Respect client privacy, confidentiality, cultural preferences, and personal choices.
Communicate professionally with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and agency staff.
Provide assistance with male clients' personal-care needs when appropriate and requested.
