About The Position

Amada Senior Care provides non-medical, in-home care to seniors, many of whom are veterans. As an Amada caregiver, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of your clients while providing the support and companionship they need to remain comfortable and independent at home. This is a part-time caregiving opportunity that offers flexibility, meaningful work, and a supportive team. Applicants must be willing to drive within a 25-mile radius of their home address to surrounding areas. Paid orientation is provided and takes place at our Jasper, TX office.

Requirements

Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment (2 years)
Able and willing to drive within a 25-mile radius of your home address
Able and willing to work with both male and female patients
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
Supportive and compassionate

Responsibilities

Providing in-home companionship to elderly clients
Providing personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing
Reminding clients to take prescribed medication
Helping with mobility around the home or outside, including doctor’s appointments, walks, and other activities
Planning and preparing meals
Completing client shopping or accompanying them to successfully complete their shopping
Performing basic housekeeping duties
Reporting unusual incidents and responding quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
Offering activities that are essential to daily living
