About The Position

As a Caregiver at REM West Virginia, you help people grow, learn, and live well while building meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve. You support participants in assisted living, waiver homes, and group homes, helping them pursue personal goals and take part in their communities and favorite activities. Participants may have a variety of needs, including autism, behavioral challenges, and other complex needs.

The role includes supporting developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition, as well as assisting with personal hygiene and daily living activities. Daytime and overnight roles are available. The posting lists pay of $14.75 per hour and pay-on-demand options, including weekly or daily pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Cooking and cleaning skills.
• Ability to assist with personal care, including eating, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Ability to stay calm and problem-solve in stressful situations.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance are required in some positions.
