About The Position

The Caregiver is responsible for assisting participants with all aspects of personal care activities and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care when possible. Responsible for assisting participants with Instrumental activities of daily living and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of independence when possible. Responsible to reinforce and comply with all rehab initiatives and clinical modalities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience providing care to an individual with a disability or support needs commensurate with the participants served in the waiver or related educational experience.
• Dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• At least one (1) year experience with the frail or elderly.

Responsibilities

• Assisting participants with all aspects of personal care activities.
• Implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care.
• Assisting participants with Instrumental activities of daily living.
• Implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of independence.
• Reinforcing and complying with all rehab initiatives and clinical modalities.
