About The Position

Senior Helpers is seeking a Caregiver to work with a female ABI client in Okolona and surrounding areas. This role involves providing companion care, which includes safety checks, meal preparation, and engaging in activities, as well as personal care, assisting with bathing, dressing, and medication reminders. The company emphasizes a supportive culture and offers opportunities for growth. The position is Monday-Friday, with hours typically from 11a-5p, though times may vary and can be flexible.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must have car insurance.
Must have your own reliable transportation.
Must have High School diploma or GED.
No felons.

Experience caring for a family member.
Experience as a full-time parent or homemaker.
Experience working in an assisted living facility, Skilled Nursing, Senior Home, or Senior Center as a Caretaker.
Experience as a teacher or child care worker.
Retired individuals looking to give back.
Certifications such as CNA, HHA, or PCA.

Responsibilities

Perform safety checks upon arrival.
Assist with meal preparation.
Help clients pick out clothes for the day.
Act as a companion, playing games and running errands.
Clean up client's living space.
Assist seniors with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene (hair and teeth brushing).
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with general mobility around the house.
