About The Position
One You Love Homecare of North, South, and West Houston is seeking compassionate caregivers to help older adults live safely and independently at home. Caregivers provide non-medical assistance in clients’ homes, including companionship, personal care support, help with daily living activities, and light housekeeping. Work hours vary depending on client needs. Flexible scheduling is available for days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; proof of insurance if required for client transport.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field is a plus.
- State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
- Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
- Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Remind clients to take medication.
- Clock in and out and document all tasks.
