About The Position
Allcare Homecare is seeking compassionate, patient, and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 2:1 support service for an adult client with Autism. This position requires individuals who are energetic, engaging, and committed to building a positive and supportive relationship with the client. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys being active in the community, can provide companionship, and is comfortable working in a highly structured environment. Due to the complexity of the case, there is a significant amount of information, training, and support strategies that staff will be expected to learn and consistently implement.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in all situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to learn and follow detailed support plans.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be willing to participate in training and ongoing coaching.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct 2:1 support to a client with Autism.
- Assist with community integration and social activities.
- Build a positive, respectful, and supportive friendship-based rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Follow individualized support plans and behavioral support strategies.
- Assist with daily living activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Work closely with supervisors, family members, and support teams.
- Ensure the client's safety, well-being, and dignity at all times.
