About The Position

Clearwater at Rancharrah is seeking a full-time Caregiver for the night shift at its senior living community in Reno. The Caregiver assists residents with daily living activities while preserving their dignity and respect and following applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines. The role also supports resident safety, responds to requests and alerts, and contributes to the community’s daily operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• First Aid, CPR, or BLS certification required.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of work experience as a Caregiver or in a related field.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety checks on residents.
• Assist and encourage residents with daily living activities and respond promptly and kindly to their needs.
• Read and follow care plans, including managing oxygen tanks and concentrators according to physician orders.
• Transport residents and assist them into and out of beds and wheelchairs using appropriate safety, lifting, and transfer techniques; escort residents to meals, activities, and other transportation as requested or assigned.
• Clean, complete laundry, and assist with other community activities and assigned duties.
• Chart and document appropriate information, including incident reports, and immediately communicate observed or suspected changes in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident alerts, carry radios, and address emergencies and other resident requests.
• Comply with Clearwater Living standards and regulations to support safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a positive, professional image and high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
• Represent Clearwater Living principles and core values.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
