About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Westchester, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers receive training and support and are expected to provide respectful, reliable care in accordance with each client’s care plan. The position is available full-time or part-time and is performed in person.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation and observing dietary constraints.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
