Part Time & Contingent Caregiver
About The Position
Sigma HomeCare is seeking dependable part-time and contingent caregivers, including CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, Personal Care Assistants, Home Health Aides, Companion Caregivers, and Direct Care Workers, to provide one-on-one support to a client in the Hamtramck/Detroit, Michigan area and surrounding communities. The role supports clients in maintaining independence at home through companionship, assistance with daily activities, and hands-on care. Part-time shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required; training and support are provided.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID.
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone with GPS capability.
- Current TB test or willingness to obtain one.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and social engagement.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Prepare light meals and snacks.
- Assist with mobility and provide safety supervision.
- Help with household tasks and organization.
- Accompany clients on walks, errands, or recreational activities.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Document care provided during each shift.
