About The Position

Senior Helpers Racine & Kenosha is seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care for seniors throughout the Kenosha area. Whether you're an experienced caregiver or just beginning your career in home care, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed. This position is an excellent fit for professional caregivers, CNAs and HHAs, Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), nursing students, retirees, individuals seeking a meaningful second career, and anyone passionate about improving the lives of older adults. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic caregiving and household management skills
  • Availability to work at least 10 hours per week
  • Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on client needs

Nice To Haves

  • Previous caregiving, healthcare, home care, or CNA experience is helpful but not required—we'll train the right candidates

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Preparing meals and helping with feeding when needed
  • Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional encouragement
  • Completing light housekeeping and laundry
  • Running errands and assisting with shopping
  • Offering medication reminders
  • Promoting clients' independence, dignity, and overall well-being
  • Keeping accurate care notes and communicating with the office team
