About The Position

Caregiver for Behavioral Group Home Full Time. This role involves assisting individuals in a group home setting with their personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and finds meaning in this type of work, with a promising future at Sevita. Each day, you will help people grow, learn, and live well, develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, experience ownership and trust from leaders, take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities, and support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months-1 year experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities (such as Autism, Down's syndrome, etc.).
  • Must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as verbal and physical aggression, running away, and so on.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CA Driver's license.
  • Must have driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state).
  • Must be able to pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks and a pre-employment physical and TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications.
