About The Position
The Cottages is a small, home-like community dedicated to helping seniors live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Caregivers provide personalized attention, connection, and quality care to improve residents’ lives. The company offers industry-leading training and opportunities for caregivers to learn, grow, and advance. The schedule is dayshift, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Experience is preferred but not required. The Cottages is a drug-free and equal opportunity employer. Employment offers are contingent upon successful reference checks and completion of drug and background screenings.
Requirements
- A compassionate attitude and sincere desire to help others.
- Ability to take direction, follow rules exactly, and be proactive and thoughtful.
- Successful completion of a criminal history check.
- Pass the post-offer drug test.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Reliability, dependability, maturity, agility, sincerity, timeliness, trustworthiness, and loyalty.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with hygiene and grooming, including bathing and dressing.
- Provide medication assistance and perform Med Tech duties.
- Monitor residents and provide safety supervision.
- Prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Assist residents with ambulation and mobility.
- Do laundry.
- Provide joyful companionship.
