About The Position

Right at Home is hiring per-diem Caregivers in the Quakertown, Pennsylvania area. Caregivers help improve clients’ quality of life by providing personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and companionship in clients’ homes. Duties may include helping clients move around their homes, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation or accompaniment to errands and medical appointments, bathing and dressing, medication reminders, range-of-motion exercises, dementia care, and companionship activities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with transferring and moving throughout their homes.
• Perform housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompany clients on errands or to medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide dementia care.
• Offer companionship through activities such as reading, music, and puzzles.
