About The Position

Senior Helpers of Western Cuyahoga & Lorain Counties is hiring compassionate, reliable caregivers to help seniors remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. The role is available full-time or part-time, with weekday and weekend schedules in the morning and afternoon. Candidates may be experienced caregivers or new to caregiving; training and support are provided. Pay is $16–$20 per hour, with an additional $2 for weekend shifts. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
Parkinson’s and dementia care experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Support mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Provide medication reminders.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions.
Accurately document care provided.
Communicate with clients, families, and office staff.
Accompany clients to appointments or errands when needed.
