About The Position
Home Helpers Home Care of Sarasota is seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to provide personalized, one-on-one care to seniors in their homes in the Venice area. The role focuses on supporting clients through overnight hours so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Overnight schedules depend on client needs and caregiver availability; full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Experienced caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, and people with hands-on caregiving experience who do not hold CNA or HHA certification are encouraged to apply. Caregivers assist with personal care and daily living needs, companionship, mobility, errands, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The role also involves following individualized care plans, monitoring clients, and communicating changes in their needs. Requirements
- Prior hands-on caregiving experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Clean driving record.
- Access to email and a smartphone.
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional.
- Able to commit to an overnight schedule.
Nice To Haves
- CNA or HHA certification; applicants with caregiving experience but without either certification are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and nighttime routines, including toileting as needed.
- Provide companionship and reassurance.
- Assist with repositioning and mobility when needed.
- Follow individualized plans of care.
- Monitor and communicate changes in client needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Provide dependable, attentive care throughout overnight shifts.
- Aid clients with activities of daily living.
- Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation.
- Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
