About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow each client’s care plan. The position is based in Palos Park, Illinois, and is performed in person. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
• Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Driver’s license.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Reliability.
• Willingness to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including at appointments and on walks.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals, taking clients’ needs into account.
• Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
• Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
• Follow the care plan.
