About The Position
Amada Senior Care is actively hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers in Houston, TX, for immediate openings. This role offers part-time employment with flexible scheduling, providing non-medical, in-home support to seniors and veterans. The goal is to help clients live safely and independently in their homes, offering companionship, assistance with personal care, medication reminders, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and reporting on client conditions. The position emphasizes making a meaningful impact by brightening days, providing comfort, and ensuring clients can remain in their homes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience
- Reliable transportation
- Hands-on experience using a Hoyer lift and gait belt
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Comfortable working with both male and female clients
- Willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius and surrounding areas
- A caring, dependable, and professional attitude
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Providing medication reminders
- Helping with mobility, errands, and appointments
- Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
- Observing and reporting changes in clients' conditions
- Encouraging independence and supporting everyday routines
