About The Position
Companions Forever is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to provide non-medical home care services to clients across Connecticut. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, transportation, light housekeeping, and providing companionship. The company has been a provider of non-medical home care for over three decades, focusing on empowering clients to maintain independence in their homes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Open availability preferred
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
- Hoyer Experience
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
