About The Position
United Home Care is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers for afternoon and evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This role is ideal for caregivers who enjoy helping clients with their evening routines, providing companionship, and ensuring clients are safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the evening. United Home Care has proudly served San Diego County for over a decade, providing compassionate, one-on-one, non-medical home care that helps seniors live safely and comfortably in the place they call home. Requirements
- Caregiving, home care, CNA, HHA, or related experience preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if transportation is required)
- Ability to safely assist with personal care and mobility
- Willing to complete a background check, TB clearance, and required onboarding
Nice To Haves
- Dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Parkinson's disease, post-hospital recovery, or mobility assistance
- Experience with gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and transfer assistance
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and evening hygiene routines
- Prepare and serve dinner while encouraging proper nutrition and hydration
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Support medication reminders as outlined in the care plan
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Complete accurate shift documentation and communicate with the care team
