About The Position

Senior Helpers is looking for caring, dependable caregivers with some caregiving experience who are available during the morning through mid-afternoon hours. Your day might start with helping a client get ready for the morning, sharing a cup of coffee and conversation, preparing lunch, assisting with errands or mobility, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day better. We provide non-medical, in-home support that helps seniors maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. Our caregivers provide companionship, personal care, respite care, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, Parkinson’s care, and transitional care following hospital or rehab stays.

Requirements

• Some caregiving experience (preferred, including family experience)
• Experience with seniors, personal care, companionship, dementia care, or in-home caregiving is a plus
• Caring, compassionate, and patient
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong communicator
• Able to follow a client’s care plan
• Comfortable using a smartphone and apps
• Equipped with reliable transportation
• A valid driver’s license holder
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal care
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Help with mobility and transportation
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping
• Assist with errands and everyday activities
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition
• Help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home
